A complete lifecycle record
Every material, supplier and step, from raw-material sourcing to repair, reuse and recycling, captured as one structured, verifiable dataset.

Your EU Digital Product Passport service provider
Manage product data across complex value chains — without heavy IT costs or operational disruption.
Every shipment crosses a border. Every border asks questions.
One scan answers them all.
A Digital Product Passport (DPP) is a structured, machine-readable digital identity for a physical product. It gathers what a product is made of, where it comes from and how it can be repaired, reused or recycled, and makes that data trustworthy and easy to access across the whole value chain.
Every material, supplier and step, from raw-material sourcing to repair, reuse and recycling, captured as one structured, verifiable dataset.
Data follows EU standards such as the GS1 Digital Link, so authorities, partners and systems can read it automatically, not just people.
A data carrier on the product, its packaging or documentation is the door: a QR code, GS1 Digital Link, Data Matrix, NFC tag, RFID or other ESPR-recognised carrier.
The passport is how manufacturers meet the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), rolling out by product group from 2026.

From February 2027, every EV and industrial battery placed on the EU market ships with a Digital Product Passport — created on the production line, not in the back office.

Every component. Every origin. One verifiable record.

After the sale
A DPP is not a PDF you print once. Charge cycles, state of health and thermal events stream into the record for the product's whole life.
Every value is signed and stamped into the passport — live telemetry, not marketing.
The value chain
From raw-material tiers to service providers, every partner in the value chain feeds verified data into one shared passport.
Tiered access: consumers, partners and authorities each see the data meant for them.
The clock is ticking
Under the ESPR, the Digital Product Passport becomes mandatory sector by sector.
EV, industrial and light-transport batteries over 2 kWh are first, under the EU Battery Regulation.
A top ESPR priority: the delegated act is expected around 2027, covering fibre composition, origin, durability and recycled content.
Rules targeting resource use, durability and environmental impact.
Durability, recyclability and recycled-content rules expand to further sectors.
Not sure where your products land, or how to be ready in time?
Contact us for guidanceDates follow the EU ESPR Working Plan 2025–2030 and are being confirmed through delegated acts, typically with a 12–18 month transition.

Customs and market-surveillance authorities query passport data at the point of entry. When the record is complete, goods keep moving — when it isn't, they don't.

Beyond Bar Code is modular. Take only the modules you need today and add the rest as you grow, all built on open standards.
See exactly where you stand. We assess your product data, map who owns what, and pinpoint the gaps, long before any deadline hits.
Give every product a clear digital profile: identifiers, attributes and lifecycle logic. This is the foundation the passport is built on.
Map how product data flows across suppliers, users, service partners, recyclers and regulators, end to end, with no blind spots.
Connect product data to sustainability and lifecycle indicators, so ESG becomes part of the product itself, not a separate report.
Structure the documents, standards references and proof each requirement needs, so the right evidence is ready when authorities ask.
Share product data with partners across the value chain through trusted, standards-based data spaces, and you stay in control of access.
AI helps classify requirements, map data fields and keep compliance logic consistent, cutting the manual interpretation work.
It's a structured digital record tied to a physical product, holding information about its materials, origin, sustainability and end-of-life options. Customers, partners and authorities reach it by scanning a QR code or data carrier on the product.
If you make, import or distribute products for the EU market, most likely yes, over time. The DPP rolls out sector by sector under the ESPR, starting with batteries in 2027 and textiles soon after. We help you find your deadline and prepare for it.
Yes. Beyond Bar Code is built specifically for small and medium manufacturers. You connect Excel, ERP or partner data, and we structure it into a compliant passport: no large IT or compliance department required.
The EU is defining a certification for the companies trusted to host passport data and guarantee access, standards and security. We build to those expectations so your passports remain valid as the framework is finalised.
Open, interoperable standards (GS1 Digital Link, FIWARE, GAIA-X and EBSI) so your product data stays portable and verifiable across the whole value chain rather than locked into one vendor.
Open, interoperable standards — your product data stays portable and verifiable, never locked into one vendor.

Beyond Bar Code grew out of work on European compliance, sustainability and product transparency. We help manufacturers replace scattered spreadsheets and disconnected systems with a single, verifiable Digital Product Passport: a structured record of what a product is made of and everywhere it has been, from raw material sourcing to end-of-life recycling.
We work at the heart of the European R&D ecosystem, turning early-stage technology into projects that meet real regulation across automotive, energy, electronics, textiles and construction. Our platform is built on blockchain, AI-driven analytics and IoT so the data inside a passport is accurate, interoperable and secure, and we contribute to the open standards the whole industry depends on.
Three principles shape everything we build.
We turn complex EU rules (ESPR, RoHS, REACH and the EU Textile Strategy) into a guided workflow, so teams without a large IT department can still produce a passport that stands up to scrutiny.
Passports are built on GS1, FIWARE, GAIA-X and EBSI, so your product data stays portable, verifiable and ready to exchange with partners and regulators across the value chain.
Blockchain and IoT keep every record tamper-evident and traceable, and we evolve the platform as European regulation changes, so you stay compliant without starting over.
We build compliant, vendor-neutral Digital Product Passports across the value chain. Tell us your products and deadlines, and we'll map the path to compliance.
